Capsaicin is Extracted from red chili pepper fruit. It is dark red oily liquid pigment which contains capsanthin and capsorubin (carotenoids).
Characteristic of Capsanthin:
Capsanthin is a very good colorant , stable under light, heat and pH conditions. Dissolve in oils and organic solvents such as ethanol,insoluble in water.
Application: Capsanthin is widely used in food additive as a coloring agent .Such as canned foods, sauces, popsicles, ice cream, biscuits, cooked meat products ,poultry and bakery,etc.
In Japan, red pepper capsanthin is used for fatty foods, sauces, processed aquatic products, vegetables, fruit juice and ice cream. Also can be used in cosmetic products and other industries.
